With over a decade of teaching experience, Lauren adapts her teaching style to each student, helping you develop both musical skills and confidence at your own pace. Her students have successfully passed music baccalauréat programs, ABRSM exams, RCS Traditional Music assessments, and Parisian conservatoire auditions.

Do I need a harp at home?

Yes. To ensure steady progress, having a harp at home for regular practice is essential. Lauren can help guide you toward the best harp for your needs, with a range of rental and purchase options available to suit every budget.

Do I need to bring my own harp to each lesson?

No, you’ll use Lauren’s harp during lessons. However, you will need access to a harp at home for regular practice.

What language are lessons taught in?

Lessons may be taught in either French or English. Additionally we can use Solfège or Letter Notation.

How long is each lesson?

Lessons are typically 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on age, level and goals.

How much should students practice?

Consistency matters more than length! Beginners can start with 10-15 minutes a day, gradually increasing with experience.

Can I take lessons online?

While lessons are primarily in-person for beginners, online lessons may be arranged in certain emergency circumstances for travel or illness.

Is there parking or public transport nearby?

Yes! Cents is easily accessible by bus, train and/or car. There is easy parking near the studio. Directions will be provided upon booking.

I’m an adult beginner–is it too late to start?

Not at all! Many adult students find learning the harp deeply rewarding and a great way to manage daily stress. Lauren works with adult beginners regularly.
